Where Butterflies Fly

Do you know
where the butterflies are?
Along the hill
the milkweed’s sparse
Off the main trail, above the trees,
There’s a field above the stream.

Do you know
where the butterflies are?
The stomach flutters, and you wish on a star
the chest feels tight, and it fills your mind,
soulbirds fly into your dream

Chorus:
Freedom from the cocoon
We go sailing with the new moon
We are soaring
Where butterlies fly

Do you know
where the butterflies are?
Out on the porch in the back yard
A shady swing and a garden fair
Butterflies giving us wings

Do you know
where the butterflies are?
The stomach flutters, and you wish on a star
the chest feels tight, and it fills your mind,
soulbirds fly into your dream.

Chorus:
Freedom from the cocoon
We go sailing with the new moon
We are soaring
Where butterlies fly

A friend helped me turn the post previous to
this one into a song.

If you would like to hear the mp3

or post your email in the comments.
Disclaimer - I am singing the lead
and my vocals are not very good. :)

aren't all just a butterfuly? but a worm cocooned in the mother's womb, born with wings to fly?

maybe? hopefully?

beautifully written, my friend.
