mystical experience cracks veneer
heart of the matter life breaks in
showing thickness of shell, very thin
outward strength exposes inward need
spiritually bound or totally freed
life is formed in the shape of a cup
often poured out, then again filled up
stripping oneself makes for vulnerability
humbled, broken, offered, life's fragility
gifts of blessing, grace related
heart of a servant, constantly cultivated
--"the heart of transformation is the transformation of the heart"
i spent three days on retreat, Thursday pm to Sunday pm.

And it shows spiritually, Larry!
Beautiful!
Since Wednesday have been in a tizzy with my mother being in the hospital until yesterday. It feels so good to be back online getting fed by your uplifting and
spiritual muse! Thank you!
Wonderful for today - Wonderful!

Constantly, constantly cultivated!
I love that line. Beautiful writing!
This is beautiful larry, I know this will perhaps sound strange, the cover of the book, the title might turn some people away, but after reading your insight in love, you need ! to read THE GARGOYLE by Andrew Davidson. It is all about love, this is all I will say, it is going to be a difficult book to review without giving it away. I might not, the pleasure is to find onself totally surprised.
Oh gosh, I didn't notice that! Should I take it down?
Did you read about the self mummifying Japanese monks?
It's so funny that you posted this, especially the picture. I have an obsession with doors. I took pictures of doors on our honeymoon too from all the places we visited! Good to be back but I'd sure go again. LOVED ROME. I must find a job there. LOL
this is an amazing piece. beautiful writing. uplifting!
You are compteting directly with Shadow now, nice poem though.
Feel quite good today, I am in love again I think
What a beautiful piece, Larry. And I love the picture, both by itself, and how it accompanies your poem.
