to bless summer

hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks on the grill
poolside, park walks, camping on a hill
novels, poems, prose, all that's readable
salads, veggies, fruit and melons so edible
friends young or old, brand new and long past
summer is time to enjoy things that last

every vacation, or day trip that's made
shaved ice, snow cones, pink lemonade
time for the family, and if you haven't guessed
may moments of sunshine be thoroughly blessed

With all due respect Larry, if she can get her kids to eat it. And I was a pretty picky eater myself. Totally agree with you on the title. Take care.

Ahhhh, yes.

Though you ought to amend it to include the house calls of grand bartenders :D

I enjoy all those wonderful things summer has to offer. Unfortunately our summer has been delayed a little with rain, cold and fog, but when it comes I will be ready to enjoy all you have listed above.

Bless summer, and bless you Larry:)
