"simplicity, laughter, honesty, fun"

As the weekend came to a close,
I felt refreshed,
I realized a closeness to God that God takes ownership for,
not what I do, God's work is what counts.

I realized that I can go for the complicated or stay basic -
I felt called into this post's title as a prayer

Will you share a prayer with me.

My prayer is "simplicity, laughter, honesty, fun"

lost in the losing

excerpt from my journal June of '06
I was six months out from the death of my wife of 19+ years, mother of my three kids...

What we cannot redeem God can and what we cannot erase God will. "Give and be blessed." Christ said in response to the people's cry. It is time to arise and go, saying "Give and be blessed." Have I given? My feelings are that you will use these gifts, I yield them to you, let the simple gifts give you the praise.

- Lord, today I ask you to allow me to let a little more of the hurt go. Not the memory, or the good, but the hurt only. I cast all my cares on you Lord.
